Tuğba Erkoç defends her M.Sci. thesis

Tuğba Erkoç successfully completed her M.Sci. thesis on anatomy based simulation of facial expressions. The proposed system models the dynamics of facial epxressions with a quasi-implicit Ordinary Di fferential Equation. The regions of the face aff ected by the facial muscles are computed online with a new generic stack based approach which works in real time. The algorithm is tested with six facial expressions; happy, sad, angry, fear, surprise and disgust.
